The end of the year is coming up fast and for car fans, it means that the newest models of their favourite vehicles are just about here. There are a number of exciting new models that are going to hit the market in 2014. Here are a few cars in particular that we are excited to see on the roads in the next few months:

The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray – Bringing Back a Classic

Possibly the most exciting launch for next year will be the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Chevy is bringing back this classic sports car in a new and improved version. This sports car is going to offer a 6.2 Litre V8 engine that has 450 horsepower. The Stingray should be able to go from 0 to 100 km in under four seconds. While the Stingray has always been known for speed, Chevy redesigned this model to improve performance. It uses higher quality, lighter materials and reengineered suspension and steering to help the Stingray handle better, especially in bad weather.

The Toyota Corolla – A New Sportier Image

The Toyota Corolla has been a popular car for years because of its reliability and decent gas mileage. Toyota has revamped the exterior of the Corolla by giving the 2014 model a new, sportier look. The new model will have more aggressive styling and a longer wheelbase so passengers will have more room. Toyota plans to use more upscale materials in the interior so drivers will feel like they have a nicer car. Overall, the Corolla will drive the same since it was already offering decent performance.

The Cadillac ELR – A High Performance Hybrid

The World is getting greener and Cadillac is making sure to get behind this trend with the Cadillac ELR. The Cadillac ELR is basically an upgraded version of the Holden Volt. It uses the same system of an electric motor with a rechargeable battery and a small fuel tank for whenever the battery runs out. If the ELR performs anything like the Volt, owners will very rarely have to visit the gas station. The Cadillac ELR should offer a bit better driving performance, more room, and a nicer interior than the Volt to justify the Cadillac brand. If you want to go green while looking good, the Cadillac ELR could be a nice choice.

The BMW 4 Series

BMW will be replacing its popular line of 3 Series with the new, upgraded 4 Series in 2014. This new design will offer a bit more room than the 3 Series plus offer a new list of high-tech features like a forward collision warning system, cruise control that works in stop and go traffic, and a new multimedia system. Like the 3 Series, the new 4 Series will come in three versions: Luxury, Sport, and M Sport. The M Sport is the most expensive but offers the best handling and performance.
